PRODUCT RECALL Series 2/2024.
Displayed a record of Recall activities being carried out by 4 vehicle manufacturers involving Mercedes Benz, Chery and Toyota vehicle models.
The implementation of Recall activities for the following models has been implemented by the manufacturer
the vehicle since March 2024 and is still going on until now.
For any vehicle owner involved in this Recall activity, you will be contacted by your vehicle manufacturer to
appointment date setting for vehicle inspection.
Please adhere to the appointment date that has been set for the convenience of both parties. The public is aware of the recent viral issue which is about the case of the rear axle failure for the Chery Omoda 5 vehicle. For this case, the Chery side
Auto Malaysia Sdn Bhd has immediately implemented the Recall activity which started on 3 May 2024 and has informed the JPJ regarding the activity.
Until June 7, 2024, Chery has inspected a total of 592 units out of 600 units of Chery vehicles
Omoda 5 involved in this activity with a completion percentage of 98.67%. The remaining vehicle owners have been contacted to complete the inspection schedule and it is expected that this activity will be completed
at the end of June 2024.
The resolution period for Recall activities is entirely dependent on the cooperation provided by the vehicle owner. As a vehicle owner, please ensure that your information data on the part of JPJ and any related parties is up-to-date to make it easier
you are contacted if your vehicle is involved in any Recall activity.
